Hydroxyzine provides sedative, antiemetic, antihistamine (eliminates itching and hives), analgesic effects. It helps to improve memory and attention. The drug prolongs the duration of sleep, reduces the number of nighttime awakenings (after a single dose of 50 mg).

The daily dose should be divided into several smaller doses (or take the tablets before going to bed). The average dosage is 50 mg per day. The maximum single dose of the drug should not exceed 200 mg. The maximum daily dose is 300 mg.
