I started to take Avonex immediately after I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I felt myself very bad and it really didn’t had some importance about what I’m taking the only thing that I was thinking about was to feel myself better. When I tried for the first time Avonex I suddenly started to feel myself sick and very bad. Just one injection developed different kind of side effects that I could not mange. For the pain that I felt my doctor prescribed to me naproxen, and it helped me. This injection developed to me also and achy pain. After some days with terrible and insupportable pain I decided to take Vicodin obviously with the permission of my neurologist. Combining these to medicines I was able to control my pain and after some weeks I started to feel some progress. Since that day when I first was shot I never quit the injections. I tried several times to use avonex without vicodin but it was impossible to me. The same symptoms started to appear. So today I use avonex in combination with vicodin in such a way I can’t support the reaction of this drug very well. It’s important to know that the injected part it’s very vulnerable. Every time when I have my shot I understand very well that I’ll have another vulnerable part. I’m saying this because it’s impossible to sleep on that part of the body that was injected. It doesn’t seem like the usual injections. Every time when I forget about this part and accidently I sleep on the injection side I experience an insupportable pain and I woke up very nervous. As a conclusion I can’t say that it’s a bad drug. It has its own negative and positive parts but generally it helped me very much. If you had the same problem as mine about achy pain you can talk to your neurologist about vicodin. It’s a very good drug that in my opinion has no side effects and that combined with avonex it’s really working. I’ll write another review after some months and I’ll let you know if there are some changes in my administration process.

The most important thing with this drug is that I am taking it for 6 years now I am have had absolutely no relapses which is awesome! I am suffering and diagnosed with multiple sclerosis for 15 years or so and since I am on the medication I have never felt so good. another great thing about avonex is that I have only one injection per week. It is much better than to have three injections per week with rebif that I have been before the avonex or even every single day with the copaxone that was my first drug for multiple sclerosis. I haven’t been on so many medications for multiple sclerosis but as I know, I have been on “most effective” ones so the best of these ones is avonex for me. it has some mild side effects: a headache and tiredness for almost all day long after the injection. Even so I am able to keep with my daily activities. The reason why I am happy is that the symptoms from the multiple sclerosis have not improved at all and the side effects have not improved as well. But I am taking avonex for 6 years now. the one and only thing that is scaring me a little bit now is the spasm attacks at night that I am developing lately. I am not sure if these spasms are caused by the avonex but it seems so… if I find out that avonex is caused them I might search for another medication but as for now it is very effective. This medicine has helped me in not having any relapses so as I said, I think this is the most important about this drug. Hope it would stay as effective as it was until now.

Suffering from multiple sclerosis for many many years. Now, I’m on avonex for about 5 years. At first, it was very painful and unpleasant, thought i won’t make thru it. especially because the side effects were also horrible (frequent headaches, nausea and many others). However, now, 5 years being on it and I no longer have side effects. Maybe sometimes, but very rarely. Moreover, the injecting is no longer a problem as I don’t feel any pains anymore. I guess my body build up antibodies for the side effects and not for the effects itself. In these 5 years had only one relapse. Very effective. I recommend.

I’m suffering from Multiple Sclerosis for a really long time. I was really young when doctor diagnosed me with MS: 17 years old. Now I’m 29 and I am taking this medication for about 11 years or so and since then the results are really good. Avonex has changed my life to better and I would recommend this medication to everyone who is newly diagnosed with this disease. Usually, I take it before I’m going to sleep at night on the weekend and before each injection I am taking a couple of Tylenol and I’m just fine after that! Maybe the only thing that can be called as a side effect is a little headache in the morning after I wake up but it goes away in few hours and everything’s perfect after that. I have no other side effects or something like that. I am getting some migraines from time to time but I really doubt that this is a side effect of the medication. In my opinion the fact that I’m having Multiple Sclerosis is responsible for the migraines. Usually, I’m changing the injection location – left hip, right hip, left thing and right that so in this way I am avoiding irritation. I never had a problem with that but better safe than sorry. My husband helps me with this, he’s doing the shot and I’m having no pain because of that. On an occasion when I feel something it’s not a problem at all. I do have an MS attack but it happens around once in 3 or 4 years and as you can understand it’s not a problem either. In general Avonex worked very well for me. It has made my life a better place. Definitely recommend Avonex.

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis for about a little more than one year ago. I wasn’t able to remember simple things as closing my house door or who called me in the morning. It was truly a disaster. When I first visited my doctor about 4 months ago she told me about Avonex, she explained me the possible side effects, how to use and so on. In the beginning I was terrified about injection shots but from the first shots I understood that there’s nothing to worry about. I’ve only had to wait for the effects. I have started the treatment 3 months ago and I can sincerely say that the delivery method is purely amazing. I doubt that I would ever say this but now I can remember things. After only 3 months my symptoms have greatly lessened and I know for sure that Avonex is helping me. This is just amazing how it works. Side effects were minimal and they were expected, the doctor explained that I can have flu like symptoms and she explained how to deal with them. It was very easy and no problems were noticed. Other than I haven’t had any negative effects so far and I’m feeling great! I thought that my condition is untreatable but this product proved that I was so wrong and now I am so happy. I truly hope that everything will continue the way it is and no problems will appear and I also hope that everyone out there struggling with this issue will find their cure in the same way as I did. I think that this product it’s worth to try it out!
