It acts against a wide range of pathogens: gram-positive (Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Anthrax Bacillus) and gram-negative microorganisms (Shigella, Salmonella, Escherichia, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae). Cefadroxil is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Duricef (cefadroxil) dosage regimen and administration

The dose depends on the severity and localization of infection. The drug is prescribed for adults and children weighing more than 40 kg in the average dose of 1 to 2 g per day (in 1-2 doses).
