What is Fulvicin (griseofulvin)?

Fulvicin (griseofulvin) possible contraindications: malignant neoplasms, chronic liver disease and chronic kidney disease, changes in the morphological composition of the blood, uterine bleeding, systemic lupus erythematosus, pregnancy and breastfeeding, hypersensitivity to griseofulvin, children younger than two years of age.

The drug is prescribed with caution in case of hypersensitivity to penicillins. It is recommended to take vitamins during therapy with Fulvicin: ascorbic acid and B-group vitamins. Patients should refrain from alcohol consumption during treatment with griseofulvin.

How to take Fulvicin (griseofulvin)?

Onychomycosis, tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp): adult patients weighing up to 50 kg - 625 mg per day, patients weighing over 50 kg - 800 mg per day. The maximum daily dose is 1000 mg. Fulvicin tablets should be combined with antifungal agents for external use. In case of tinea capitis, wash your hair with soap and warm water 2 times a week. In case of allergic processes, patients should use anti-allergic treatment and stop taking Fulvicin tablets for 3-4 days.
