Griseofulvin is used after a meal, in one or several doses. The recommended adult dose is 500 mg per day. The dosage should be increased in severe forms of the disease. The highest daily dose is 1 g. The recommended dose for children is 10 mg/kg per day.

The duration of treatment for severe fungal infections - up to 12 months. The duration of treatment for mycosis of the skin lasts 2-4 weeks; in the case of the fungus of the scalp - 4-6 weeks; in the case of onychomycosis - at least 6 months.

Grifulvin V (griseofulvin) overdose

If you have hypersensitivity to griseofulvin, you must stop taking the drug. Treatment is symptomatic.

Grifulvin V should not be used together with ethanol.

Griseofulvin may reduce the activity of oral contraceptives and anticoagulants of indirect action.
