What is Renova?

Renova: how it works

Renova: general instructions

Renova (tretinoin) cream is used once a day, usually at night. Before applying Renova, the skin should be cleaned. Wait 20 or 30 minutes after washing before applying Renova. Take a pea-sized amount of cream and put a thin layer on the affected areas. Do not apply the cream around the delicate area of the eyes. Renova: contraindications

Renova: possible side effects

Renova (tretinoin) cream may cause skin dryness. Other common side effects include redness, peeling, itching and irritation. This drug is effective but can have unwanted adverse effects, especially during the first few weeks of treatment. However, these symptoms tend to improve, as your skin becomes more tolerant to the medication.

Concomitant use of tretinoin with topical antibiotics (clindamycin, erythromycin), benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, aftershave balms, ethanol, soaps, substances and preparations causing dry skin may lead to increased skin irritation and dryness.

Topical form of minoxidil enhances hair growth and increases the risk of skin irritation (not recommended for use with tretinoin).

Tretinoin should not be used with drugs that increase photosensitivity (including fluoroquinolones, phenothiazines, sulfonamides, thiazide diuretics), especially in the first months of treatment.

Tretinoin enhances skin dryness and irritation when used with others retinoids (acitretin, etretinate, isotretinoin, oral tretinoin).
