I just have started the treatment of ribavirin and resof but to be honest I really think that it is not going to work. Hepatitis C treatment plans have failed too many times for me to remain confident…. I have already been through 3 different courses of treatment for this Hep C type 2 since ’99 and all failed. I have went through interferon alone, peginterferon ribavirin and then the same again however with increased dosage. Every single time my virus load have went undetectable for 3 months but then it has reappeared every single time. every single time the same, the virus lad have been increasing from 3m to 8 m and then to 13 m and slowly slowly to the present of 21 m (or maybe even by now, even more). and as we all know it very well – the percentage for a successful completion of the treatment plan is going down and down until there would be no chances left for me anymore. what can I say? Yeah, I really hope a lot that this time it is going to be different but as I already said, suffering so many failures I doubt that something would change. I’m suffering from Hep C for a long time now. for the first for years I’ve never thought that it is so hard to get rid of it, but then I realized that oh my god… and yeah… regarding for the negative side effects… well… what can I say? They have already become my old friends… those kind of friends that you are very glad when you see them go, but you have already got used to them. that’s me… and I know that it all starts now and I have to deal with it once again. gonna do my best and hang in there.

I have HAD Hep C geno 1 for anywhere between 30-45 years in the past (I am not even sure) before I have found out about this when it has been finally found in my blood stream. What’s very important is that you should have notice is that I have written HAD and since I am writing this review here on this page to this drug then – yeah. this was the drug that has done it and yeah – I can recommend it as it is an amazing drug that does what it need to do. A bit about me: I am having diabetes and I have went in to my doctor for a normal kidney test and I’ve been thinking that everything as usual but this time no. when my doctor started poking around, exactly like the old fashion docs used to do, she has noticed that both my liver as well as my spleen have been very enlarged and this is def. no good. that is why she has went forward and demanded to take a test (a blood test) and voila, she has found out that I am having Hep C after so many years. since she found about Hep C she did not stopped there and started all sorts and kinds of tests on me and everything was fine besides a biopsy which has also showed up that I have had compensated cirrhosis, which my doctor has explained to me that it has been at a very initial stage of cirrhosis… thanks to god that it has been discovered then. Very well, about one year and a half ago I have begun my 12 week sofosbuvir (I’ve taken the generic version Resof) along with the Olysio trtmt plan. Frankly this is the first time that I have had any treatments at all. extremely good drug. I am not sure whether sofosbuvir or Olysio worked better (but as much as my doc explained – they are both very important) but they worked perfectly as in 4 weeks of my treatment plan my Hep C was already undetectable, been told that the cirrhosis is no more a problem and I have requested not so long ago to have a test for Hep C and I am still undetectable (it is about 15 - 16 months now since I have completed the treatment). so I assume that this is a must be drug for anyone who wants to be cured out of Hep C. by the way, I have requested this test now because as everyone knows – there are chances that Hep C virus might return after you finish the treatment plan so I’ve been afraid that this might happen to me too. as you can see, it didn’t. oh yeah P.S. during those 12 weeks I’ve had the treatment – there have been no side effects at all, or at least I don’t remember anything at all which means that even if there have been one or 2, they were too small for me to even remember them.
