Bite more than 6 months

I have been bitten by an insect 6 months ago and I still can’t recover from this so it surely doesn’t sound to be a normal thing, no? I know that this is incredible and that it seems to be impossible but it is true so I’m scared what that might be. First of all I would like to clarify; I don’t know what kind of insect was it. The second thig is that I thought this was an ape because the second day there was a bit of a swollen part. since that day passed almost 6 months and the swollen part became bigger than at the beginning. It never made me feel uncomfortable until the last week when I started to experience a strange pain during the night coming from that area. I know that this is strange than just after 6 weeks I started to feel bad but it’s like this. I’m really worried about this and don’t know what to do. I have never had something like this before, that’s why I don’t know how to act. Please help me. If you have some information please share it. I haven’t visited a doctor because I have no insurance. Anything would be appreciated.

My situation is like yours but it’s a little bit worse because the time of my recovery is 11 months. It’s hard to believe and I’m really scared too. In fact the thing that makes me feel very scared is that I don’t know what kind of insect provoked this bite. I was ashamed to post something because I thought that people will think that it’s impossible and that I’m crazy. I’m really happy that there is somebody that understands me very well and that might suggest me something. So, I hope that we’ll find the right answer and the right medicine.

Hi folks, I suffer for a bite for more than 14 months and this started to become insupportable to me. Since the beginning I felt that there is something wrong and that I have to speak with my doc. I have to tell you that after 14 months nothing changed. The swollen part remained the same regardless of what medicines I used. My doc at the beginning prescribed me an anabolic and itch cream. Neither helped. I don’t know what to do now.. maybe this part will last like this forever. I decided to contact other doctors in order to get more information and maybe to find the right med for me and so far with no success. I really hope that there exists something that can help us and that will eliminate this thing. If some of you finds something then please post it here.

Hey don’t worry I have had the same thing. The bite that lasted for 9 months passed by itself (but it’s strange that it is still there after 14 months). In fact during these months I have experienced an insupportable pain and nausea. I’m pretty sure that this nausea was provoked by the bite. The first 2 months I lost more than 20lbs and I didn’t want to eat during this months. I felt like I was sick, at least I was feeling very strange. In the last months I started to eat and the nausea was less intensive. I did nothing for these, even if I felt myself very bad I decided to wait due to the same reason: no insurance. I didn’t know how much I have had to wait but I felt like after some months everything will be okay, and I was right. After 9 month the swollen part started to disappear and the pain gone definitely. I think that our metabolism fight against this bite and maybe it takes a little bit more than a simple illness or a simple bite. I don’t want to say that you have wait. In fact I noticed that some of you have this problem for more than 14 months and this is a little bit scared. Maybe you really should seek for a professional help. I think that your doctor is the only one who can really help you. Try to find your right medication and good luck, hope that you’ll get rid of it soon.
