Digestive problem – can’t poop normally

I am out of ideas why this is happening to me – I didn’t hear other people having this problem but I can’t poop as it used to be. Generally I am a healthy person but this serious digestive problem is ruining my life. This problem already appeared once about two years ago and I don’t remember doing something special for it to go away. I didn’t take any medications or something like that and it disappeared in about a week, now I have it for 5 days and it doesn’t seem to get better. It all started because I got really drunk in a night and the next day was really awful. I could not eat or drink anything – it’s like my stomach, or intestine (I don’t know) is locked up. Now I can eat very little and I feel like I’m really full and I get very bloated releasing very smelly gases. My poop isn’t normal, when I look at it it’s very liquidly and mucous - I haven’t had a solid poop as I used to since that. Also it looks like my digestive bowel isn’t digesting the food normally: my poop looks like what I’ve eat but liquidly. Moreover, because of the bloated feeling I have and all the gases inside I have lower abdomen pain and lower back pain. I miss my normal life when I used to eat, to poop normally and to drink a lot of water without pains and gases. I’ve already tried to clean whatever is inside of me by taking some supplements but it didn’t work out and something is really wrong. I think my intestine is clogged up and I cannot fix it. Can someone explain what is wrong with me? If it continues like that I guess I have to visit a doctor but I hope someone will give me an answer. Thanks in advance.

So i'm having the same symptoms as you and I'm desperate.

I also had a few drinks the night before it all started but I didn't get drunk then, so I assume that it's enough just to drink and not to get drunk. I can relate that the digestive bowel isn't working fine and I've also noticed that there are some specific foods that aren't digested fully. I've also tried some home remedies but it didn't work out so I seek a professional opinion. When I told the doc about my symptoms he said that I probably have hemorrhoids, but I don't. After that I had an analoscopy, (a tube with an eye inserted in the anus) but it showed up a little less than nothing.... The only thing that I know from my doc is that there could be an inner tightness of the muscles surrounding the anus. I'm afraid that my situation can get worse and can lead to other problems.

Any other can relate something? Any information? If you get some knowledge from your doctor I'm begging you to share it with my right after. This can be a serious problem and it should be treated as soon as possible. Thank you in advance.

I've had a night of drinking more than i should be and definitely more than usual and i've had a horrible sleeping that night (i thought it's something normal since you are feeling bad when drinking). Next day i woke up and feel myself very bloated (when you have a lot of air in your stomach) and i always felt like i have to puke and my body temperature wasn't stable at all. i've took a bath to feel myself a little better and went to my business with these symptoms. I've been thinking that what i've had is just an unusual hangover after an unusual drinking night. That day at night i've had my body really sensitive and i have been sleeping really bad because of that. the next day (second day after drinking) i wasn't able to stop pooping. i think i've had some diarheea or something like that because my poop wasn't normal! it was orange colored and i've noticed i have some undigested food in it also. i had no appetite even though i forced myself to eat hoping that it is going to get back to normal again. As i am on this forum searching for help i've had no luck in that. moreover i'm tired all day even though i stay in bed and sleep all day. Some answers please?

I have had the same sort of thing for the last month or so I came on here and found a lot of comfort in reading that I had the same problems as many of the people on here on this site. Sincerely I'm not an over eater and I'm not a heavy drinker but just been having some bowel issue for quite a while, over a month or so. Sincerely this is quite scaring me and it concerns me. I have had a night of drinking a little more of vodka than usual and the next day morning my stomach started hurting and it became bloated and somehow gassy. In my opinion I have too many gases trapped in my stomach and intestines that hurts me. These days I finally did get to the doctor and started the preliminary testing to get to the root of the problem and I'm waiting for the results. I hope that I will get some answers because I have had the same orange colored pooping and other symptoms. Meantime I am waiting for the results I would like to say thank you for your posts! I sincerely hope we're going to get back our normal life and I really doubt that I'm going to drink again...

I have got this problem myself after one night when I drank a lot of vodka! A lot more than I ever should! The next morning and all day long my stomach was hurting like crazy and I became extremely bloated and gassy for weeks after that. As I believe, the stomach pain I was having is due to too much trapped gas in my stomach and in my intestines (because each time when I released  a gas I was having a little relief. I am not sure if it’s the drinking that caused me to feel that way or if it’s another thing but I know for sure that I had some stomach problems even before that night (for months or even years before). I could probably have even IBS. Anyway, because I don’t have insurance I never visited a doctor but I have tried some stuff that actually have helped me out.

One thing I have done is to drink one table spoon of virgin oil daily. Drinking it daily helped me with those gassy farts in my bowel. It was very embarrassing when this was happening in my public. This helped by letting the gas flowing better thru my intestines. It should help you too. Another thing is to hold your poop. Yeah, it may seem stupid but try your best to hold your poop for as long as you can because as I believe, if you poop too often this is damaging your digestion. Two recommendations for you in holding your poop, sleep for as long as you can and smoke marijuana. I don’t know why, but smoking marijuana was helping me to hold my poop. The third and probably one of the most important part is to go on a fast. There was a lot of days when I was only sleeping, drinking just water and eating only active yogurt, pudding and a very small amount of solids. Gradually I started to eat more solids and some kind like eggs and so on. But my main eating was yogurt and pudding. After I’ve done it for a couple of weeks my IBS symptoms disappeared and I do feel a lot better. Gassy noises are gone, stomach hurting is gone and my poop became normal. I have noticed that these symptoms started to appeared back again these days because I ate fast food again. I guess that that night of drinking only revealed the true situation of my bowel state. It is nonsense that a night of drinking can be the main cause of all those things. I have drank a lot of times before that and nothing similar happened.

I guess that we all started to have some bowel problems long before a drinking night. Think about it. good luck in treating your problem. oh yeah, my suggestion, do not eat fast food because it would trigger your problem again or I guess it can make it all worse than before…
