My question is not one of the simplest questions that you can find here. I’m a little bit shamed to ask about this mostly because this is the question that I had to ask my doctor but I could do it, so I’m here asking you for some help. I would like to know if are there any bad side effects that can happen is case if I’m going to use benzo or DHG same time with drugs for hypertension. Please help!

aAfter reading your post, I just tried to imagine for 5 minutes what would be the reaction of your doctor after you asked this question. So I’m supposed to think that for sure the first thing that you’re going to hear is that actually there is a really big chance to have really big bad side effects. Of course there is one “depends on “that actually always fists in questions like this. And I’m going to add this to my next phrase. Depends on what king of benzo you take. The thing is that actually all the things that you are taking combined with something that you know that can provoke something really bad for your health have a “depends on”, benzos are really different, and one benzo taken with some blood pressure reducing drugs can have some really huge consequences for your health, in some case fatal consequences- not to scare you- but this is something that you have to know and to understand. In other cases you may pass through such experience without even feel any changes. For example benzos like for example Xanax or Valium sometime can be found like prescribed to treat some kind of diseases in combination with some medications prescribed for high blood pressure, especially in case if you have some heart problems, this is a case in which such combination isn’t harmful for your body and you may not have some bad side effects. Generally benzos tend to have calming and relaxing effects on your body and mind as well as this may influence on lowering the blood pressure and the heart rate. This is just in case if these are taken in really low dosage or in case of dosages that are actually administrated by your doc. In case if your doctor didn’t administrated you any kind of benzo, or viceversa you’re using a benzo but decided to add a drug for high blood pressure without asking your doctor can totally change your future situation. Talking seriously I don’t really know what kind of side effects it can have on your body, maybe positive, maybe negative, or maybe you’ll never feel any king of difference, but this is not something that you have to experience by your own without knowing if this is going to harm you or not. Too risky. I can say just one thing in case you’re going to take xanax for example combined with blood pressure reducing drugs the only thing that you can experience is the relaxation and chill put sensation. Anyway I can’t advice you to take it anyway even if you’re going to use xanax and something that I know that 99% of the cases isn’t harmful because I don’t know your entire health situation.

Generally this combination is about to lower your blood pressure and will make you feel really relaxed, but there is one important “but”. The thing is that the only thing that can actually harm you is the duration of the administration. In case if you take it occasionally and for a really short period of time, I’m quite sure that nothing is going to happen, but the long run administration isn’t something that I recommend you to do. In case if you’re planning to use it for a long run, you just have to push away you shame and to ask your doctor, because if you don’t, you’re going to regret later.

This may be true, but I think that you’re not allowed to do such kind of advices as long as you don’t know his entire health situation. Generally for a person that have just this health problem and don’t have any additional health problem can have a really successful routine, but as long as you don’t know his health situation, I don’t think that you actually can recommend someone to use it and you can’t know for sure how can it react on his body even for a really short period of time. There are people that have died just because once they combined something that they didn’t had to and they used it just once, so please go check your doctor’s recommendation and do anything by your own, or just because somebody told you that actually it may work…

I have had a similar experience with benzos and the treatment of chronic high blood pressure, and it turned to be really a bad experience that I don’t want to experience again. Maybe this can be related to the fact that I have a chronic high blood pressure, or maybe this can actually the fact that I decided to try it without asking my doctor, because I have heard that nothing will happen to me. I’m so sorry about the fact that I have done it, and now when I’m rethinking about all of this I feel so stupid that I have done it. This combination is very dangerous and addictive and I can’t even describe what kind of side effects you can experience. I think that I have experienced all the possible bad side effects that a person can experience in his life, starting with headache problems, stomach problems, diarrhea, impossibility to move, to breath , nausea, impossibility to drink or to eat something, stomach problems, blood problems even problems with my skin, by getting allergic reactions and so on. I really, really please you to talk with your doctor, I don’t recommend you to do this, I’m just begging you to talk with your doctor and to tell him, all the things that you what to do. I would never want someone to experience this… this is awful.

I don’t know what you’re talking about when saying about the bad effects. Maybe this is just my own experience but I have been talking Klonopin for my anxiety because I have had huge problems with this, combined with Inderal for my blood pressure, and trust me I needed both of them, the drug and the benzo too. I have never experienced something bad but this maybe just in my case, I can’t deny the fact that actually can be harmful, but I think that is not just bad as some people describe here. I agree with the fact that you have to talk with your doctor before doing something like this, because this is important anyway, and your doctor have to know about this, this is important for your future too, this is a part of your health story, and in case if you’re going to need some future benzos administration, your doctor have to know about the fact that you have used it before.

This can be successful in the acute case, and we can’t deny it, but actually the consequences can be really bad and this is a thing that is known. It can lead to BP rebound and this actually can be the explanation why this combination isn’t used in BP control. I think that a heath care provider can answer to this question to use or not. You should be sure anyway in the efficiency and in security of using the combination before doing something by your own. There are million cases here, and some people can tell you that it actually works and nothing will happen, other can tell you the opposite, as you can see here. There isn’t a secure, concluded answer for your question. In case if you’re asking about what kind of bad side effects it can provoke you can find a lot of info even out of our forum because the Internet is full with answers and examples, but you can never find a sure answer for your own case, because all we are different, and that’s why we talk with our doctors before using something we don’t know.

Well thank you for all your answers. I actually supposed that even if I asked here I would be able to find a final answer for my question. I didn’t started to use it, just because I know that this can be harmful and my question here was more an experiment just to analyze how many people will answer as a positive review and how many people will tell me to avoid self combination.  Anyway I’m still ashamed to ask my doctor, can relate the real reason of this but anyway, I’m going to ask someone ( I mean a specialist) just to know what to do. I’m afraid of harm myself, and don’t worry I’m going to be serious in this situation. Thank you all.
