I have a lump below my knee

Hey everyone I have a small hard lump below on the right side of my left knee. It is a little smaller than a golf ball (I couldn't imagine something else). It doesn't hurt me nor giving me so troubles when I'm walking but it is noticeable when my leg is straight and that's the biggest problem especially because it's almost summer. It feels like I'm having a bone there but I don't think that it is because I don't have another one on my other leg. Someone else ever had something similar before? What is that and how can I get rid of it someone can help? I'm gonna see a doctor and hopefully maybe something I will find out but I don't like very much this idea of visiting a doctor only because of a small lump that doesn't hurt. Thank you

I've heard something similar, someone had it, a lump on the side of the right knee about a year ago, she went to doctors for the a check and was declared that she had cancer free. I don't know how all ended, maybe she got rid of it, I'm not trying to scare you out but you should really go get that check out by your doctor and forget about the thing that it's something insignificant and you shouldn't go. You should. Anyway, it seems to appear be people that do a fair bit of exercising that get it so it could be nothing serious. Whatever it is I hope that it's something minor and out of your health damage, however hopefully you get it checked out soon and come with a positive result. Do everything just to find out what is that and get rid of it as soon as possible, do everything what your doctors says about it and don't wait too much, talk to your relatives if you need help. I personally would do so if I were in your situation.

Hi people, I'm having the same thing, the same lump, just below the knee cap and I really don't think that this is something related to cancer! Mikey I think you're just scaring the people! If someone wants to go for a check then they should go, but declaring that they have cancers they are going to develop anxiety and stress soon. Many of my friends have it too and it doesn't seem to be cancers at all. I used to practice sports and to run almost every day, to prepare myself for marathons and my friends who're practicing sports they've got this then it seems that people who are doing a fair bit of exercising get it. I have noticed this and that is why I never went to a doctor to ask him, I'm calm. I'm not sure but I heard that you can get pills for it and it is going to disappear. As I said I haven't visited any doctor that is why I don't take any pills for it. I'm sure that everything is going to be fine, those who are very worried can visit a doctor and then post your feedback on this site. I think people will appreciate.

Hello everyone and the original poster. I would like to say that I'm having unbelievable the same thing as the original poster: hard lump below on the right side of my left knee and its dimension is a little smaller than a golf ball or about the same dimensions and I would like to join his questions because I'm concerned too. It hurts to push on it but there is no redness or bruising. I am having this lump there for many years now but few months ago I have started to go to gym regularly and there has been pain behind the lump. My biggest concern is that I had a sharp pain along the back of the lump while I was working out few days ago. I have no pain and I can't really feel it when I'm simply walking but when I'm putting some weight on it its really painful. I have asked about this lump one doctor but he cannot help me with anything in particular. I thought about going to a private clinic but I don't have money since it's quite expensive there. Who else is having this problem? In fact I would really love to know if there is someone who had it and got rid of this lump. Or maybe there is a professional doctor who can help, that would be great. By the way, I seem healthy, I'm just a bit over weight and that's all. Please someone help, I am very concerned lately.
