hi everyone, i'm a newbie here and i hope i will find here people who will respond.

i heard that kidney cysts are common to a lot of people, but i am first time with such a problem and i am really scared right now, it is the only thing i am continuously thinking. today i had an ultrasound done which came out with hypertension. as a result there is a 1.2 in diameter cyst in my right kidney. doctor said that it classified as as complex cyst. due to an inaccurate, vague image that ultrasound could get, they could not determinate what type of complex cyst it was. also they said something about small size of the cyst, but it doesn't make me any happier. Now i need to have a CT scan on monday and i don't know what to do about it.

maybe someone have ever faced something like this? what is your result and how was the treatment? moreover i have financial problems and i would like to know approximately how much it costs? :(((

Hey man, I would like to know how you are going? One of my friend have the same kidney cysts and now I'm trying to help him. Your story is familiar to me because he's in the same situation as you: scared and I can't calm him down. Not so long ago he made an ultra sound and found out about the cysts. Doctors also said something about small cyst as in your situation, but in the right kidney (anyway I think it doesn't matter). He made a urine test and a blood test with a normal result, but anyway he can't relax until he get rid of the cyst. Does he really needs to be so worried? He is going for an other ultra sound in about a week. Sorry man for not answering your questions but I would like to get the same answers too. Maybe you've already found out everything you wanted? If so let me know please! Good luck

hello, I was searching the internet for some information and I found you guys. I am discovered and diagnosed with a complex cysts on my left kidney. When I've had my last ultrasound I forgot to ask my doctor some questions. I hope you know. anyone of you have any updates already? I would like to know if this is treatable or is alike cancer. I try to keep calm and not to panic about it but it's hard doing it since my doctor is concerned about this situation and invited me for the 3rd ultrasound to see the progress. to see if the cysts disappear. thank you

Hey everyone out there I'm having the same thoughts on complex kidney cysts and it also scares me a little since I have been diagnosed with a 2.2 cm complex cyst. That's almost everything about it and this is driving me crazy. I am 46 years old female and I'm frustrated and very upset because most of the doctor I have been talking doesn't give me any certain information of what is going on with me. I think that I would be much calmer if I would get some information, but beside my kidney cyst I have lack of information about this. Can this be real? Every doctor says I shouldn't be worried, how I'm supposed to keep calm if no one is helping me and no one says what is wrong with me? I'm concerned if they know what they are doing, if at least doctors knows something, or they keep their silence because don't know anything? I've got an appointment next week for a CT scan with contrast but I got in next week. Any information is going to be greatly appreciated, I would know at least SOMETHING what is going on with me. I'm counting on your support. In additional I would like to know how likely it is to lose a kidney if you have the cyst removed? This thought is scaring me too. I really hope everyone out here is going to be just fine and we all are going to get rid of these stones. Good luck

So your posts were really intrigued me because I have been diagnosed with a 2.3cm complex cyst too and to be honest this is scaring me much! It even scares me most because the doctors keep avoiding my questions and all they say is "don't worry". All this makes me think like I'm going to die soon even though I know that there is no such cases, or am I wrong?. Besides telling me about this 2.3cm complex cyst they don't tell me anything so this is all I know. I'm a 46yrs old woman and everything seems fine besides this cyst I have. To be honest with you all I'm very upset on the doctors because they literally don’t say anything. That's why I'm here, I'm trying to find out something on my own otherwise it seems that I won't find anything from them. The funny part is that they expect me to be "not worried", I mean, how I am supposed not to be when I know that I'm having a problem but don't know what is going on with me and my health. My biggest concern now is to know what are the chances of losing the kidney if you have the cyst removed? Doctors tells me that I'm going to have a CT scan next week and maybe they will find something more and then they will be able to tell me everything, but I doubt that they are going to do this. Best wishes everyone and hope everyone is going to get well. Also, as soon as you will be able to answer my question the better it is going to be so PLEASE!

I am diagnosed with an 11.5 cm complex cyst that was detected in ultrasound. Right now I’m having a lump in my back and it gives me slight discomfort when I am sitting or when I’m lying down. The pain is tolerable but who want’s any kind of pain? I’m now waiting for my urology appointment but I’m afraid because this can take weeks or even months and I’m afraid that by that time my situation can aggravate! I don’t know what’s wrong with me and I have to wait for unknown what! This is terrifying. Docs told me that my kidneys are functioning normally considering the size of the cyst but I’m alerted anyway! moreover… these docs (obviously) doesn’t seem to have the same sense of urgency as I have… will my situation get worse in time?
