hey everybody, i'm very and very concerned about my husband lack of bone in the skull he has. he has a big dent top of his head near his hair line, it feels like is skull is separating and making a soft spot right in the top if his head and this is making me worry about him. he never had any skull trauma or something like this. i badly want to find some information about this so please give me some insight that you may have. he keeps telling me that i should not be that worry because he is fine, however i know that he is telling me this just so i calm down and not to worry, but i am worried, and very much. we have visited a doctor but they can't help, they don't have any answers and that's making me angry! i've first noticed it about 7 months ago and it seems that it's getting worse, but i don't know for sure. two weeks ago i barely found out that he is experiencing sinus pain and nausea. maybe here are people with more knowledge that those useless doctors? i'm begging you to reply if this is so because i'm out of ideas what this could be and it's scaring me! he is now 44 and generally in good health. this is crazy! please someone help us!

Well, your husband is having the exact same thing as my mom has. I'm freaking out because of this! She is 50yrs old and about two weeks ago she accidentally found it. She found this skull dent for about 1-2 inch and told me about it. Since then I can't find peace what is happening. I'm very worried! Obviously she didn't have it when she was younger, it suddenly appeared. We don't know for how much time the dent is there but we guess that it's not for very long. She says that she doesn't have any major symptoms but the skull dent, however she's complaining sometimes about some dizziness and headaches. I'm just trying to collect as much information about this as I can and I never thought searching about this on the internet until today. Of course we have been to a doctor but they say that there's nothing they can help because they don't have enough knowledge about this. They said that they will get some information about this and give us a call, but in fact I think that they only wanted to get rid of us more quickly. As your husband, she says that no accident occured. Something isn't right and she is very worried, I'm too! Hope someone will help!!!

Hello people, I recommend you to calm down because there's nothing serious! I mean there's no health damage risk. I'm having this this mysterious skull dent for about 10 years and as you can see I'm alive and I'm feeling fine. This skull dent fluctuates on occasion and there are some days when it goes like that throughout a day. In these 10 years I have visited several doctors and they look at me like I'm some crazy woman. The only useful thing I can say by my visits to these doctors is that there is no medical diagnosis, the only conclusion I can have. I understand and I know that this sounds truly insane but trust me I am not insane. I also know that this isn't from my birth too, the doctors asked this question. My skull dent is exactly as your relatives; is in the middle of my skull it is about where my soft spot would have been when I was a baby and it is 1-2 in. long, with the sides rising and lowering.

However, I think I might help you since I haven't spent all these years pointless. Just recently, I think I found what is causing this skull dent and how to "cover" it up again. I found that it is directly related to nutrition and I (and probably your relatives too) have a gluten intolerance. For few weeks now, I am absorbing the nutrition from food and believe me or not it is leading to my dent closing up. I'm very happy that I found this and I see that I already have some progress. For those who are about to use the same method as me I have to warn you: it is very painful because it is moving (closing) very fast. Good luck people and hope my information is going to help someone.

wow, honestly i didn't thought that i'll find someone with this condition, i thought it is something only my mother has. J J Chinn, how is your mother doing now? everything is fine? i'm very concerned for my mother, in fact, she is worried too. this is very strange... suddenly, completely out of nowhere, few days ago a dent in the back of her head towards the right side appeared and she said that she doesn't have any ideas about what is responsible for the apparition of this thing. she went to our family doctor who said that she doesn't have any ideas what is that. she sent my mother to an ultrasound and to a different doctor but she has to wait 3 days!
