purple feet...

so, i have purple feet all the time. i have no discomfort or pain. the skin appears healthy but not when it turns from red to purple. when i press the skin on my feet it becomes normal, natural color but as soon as the pressure goes away, my feet turn to red or purple. elevating the feet does not seem to have an impact. without any reasons sometimes my feet become cold, but i’m not worried about this because i know that is a normal thing for many women. this strange thing started about 5 years ago and since then i’m always having it. it becomes more and more strange. it progressed in the last 5 months. i just can say that i’m a very healthy person except this. i’m an ex-smoker of 4 years and I exercise daily, i run, i do cardio, and other sports. i take no pills or medication just a daily vitamin. also i have no known allergies

a few weeks ago i have been to a dermatologist, vascular specialist, rheumatologist and other, but they said that i have no problems and no one has seen something like this before. they didn’t know what to say and they had no special treatment for me. i decide to write here in hopes that there is someone else that have this and can help me. thanks…

I can relate to your story perfectly... I just got this purple foot for about 2 months ago now and I'm feeling so useless and frustrated! In these 2 months I have seen a lot of docs but as you can see, none of them can figure this thing out. Many of them told me that they are first seeing something similar, others told me that many things can cause my purple foot but they are not sure about any of those things.. Lately, just one doc seem to know what he is doing.. My neuro doc. He said that my disease has something to do with my blood disorder... He also mentioned that I have about 90-95% chance to have a stroke or a heart attack,.. I received this news and since then I'm developing serious fear of death... He told me to keep an eye on that and it if it becomes a deeper purple then I should go head to the ER cause I am about to stroke out... Great....!!! Well, now, my next step is to go and see a cardio doc I guess and go searching for a treatment from there.. I feel utterly alone in this.. The worst part is that all I can do is wondering, thinking and worrying.. At only 38 years old I have become stressed because I can suddenly pass out... I want so hard it would stop but you should know that you’re not alone in this .. I hope we'll make thru this. If you find the treatment for this please don't forget to share it with me!!

I’m now only 18 years old and I already have this thing called “purple feet” and I don’t know why I have that. I don’t understand why I have it since I’ve never drank, never smoked or do any other bad habits like drug. I’m trying to keep my body in shape and I exercise often, regularly and I’m having a healthy died. With all that said, I’m still having this purple feet no matter of what. It is always like that. Whenever someone touches them they are turning into a flesh color but then they are returning to this purple color. In the majority of time they are cold and whenever I’m moving my foot somehow wrong my toes cramps up and I have a horrible pain. This pains lasts for a few minutes and then they disappear but this isn’t normal. Whenever this is happening I have to walk them off otherwise if I stay the pain is even bigger. Anybody else also have these symptoms or I’m the only one? I would be really interested in hearing a solution for this purple feet. I was always thinking that the reason of this issue is lack of blood flow or it can be lack of oxygen. Or even both of them. Idk.

I’m a year younger than the previous poster: 17 years old and I also started to have these purple toes about one month ago. There was nothing I can do to turn them back to normal. They stayed this purple for the entire month and what’s absolutely craziness is that they were freezing coooold! They were cold as ice when I was touching them and what scares me the most is that they remained like that even when I was showering with hot water or whenever I was wearing warm socks (in fact, I was wearing them all the time, but they were still cold). They’ve been abnormally cold as well with colder hands. I do understand that the weather was cold but I think that the real reason of all this was that I’ve been under the biggest stress in my life. However, now, I still keeping them warm and I’m not under as much stress compared to what I’ve been before and it now seems that my toes turn pink from time to time and they aren’t so cold as they were before. That is the real reason why I think that this is all due to stress. Stress caused bad circulation and bad circulation made my toes go cold and purple. I didn’t took any medicine for this but only not so long ago I’ve had a blood test to find out what’s wrong so my results will come soon. I don’t know if I will have good or bad results but the doc said that this is due to my immune system. He said that I might have an autoimmune disorder so my problem might be worse than it really is…
