Hi everybody, I am really curious if are there others who have similar symptom to what I have. In the morning I wake up with painful fingers and they are stiff. I cannot bend them for more than an hour, they are like lockedFrown. I have visited a doctor of course to see what's wrong with my finger and he told me that I ve osteo arthritis. I don't really care, I just would like to know a treatment for it, that is why I was questioning if someone has or had this problem, with some luck somone will share their experience how it was treated. Thanks Wink

Hi William, I am experiencing the same stiff fingers in the morning for about a month already and it's really hard dealing with it since I have a one year old baby. Because of the pain and the fingers non functionality I can barely do something in the morning to be called a good mom.

I had no idea what could help me so the only thing that I've got in my mind is taking massage sessions. It does seem to help a little but I'm not having the money for doing it daily. Because my problem didn't went away after I stopped the massage sessions I was forced to find another solution so I decided to pay a visit to my family doctor. He couldn't say what's my problem but he already wanted to put me on some drugs. I refused since I don't want to take some drugs that is unknown whether they will help me or not.

I don't know for sure what this could be and why we have it, maybe allergies and maybe something else but I read today on the internet that the omega supplement of fish oil could be the problem. However the is something that makes me doubt about it: I have been taking a table spoon of fish oil each day for years already and nothing happened until the past month. Can this be possible? Everything is normal for some years and suddenly a problem to appear from nowhere?

So I was just wondering if someone else has tried it and what are its effects? Are they as good as others say? I hope everything is going to get back to normal.

I am very and very glad that I've reached your post Zarra Larra!! I've had stiff fingers which hurt me in the morning for more than six months and few weeks ago I have started to search some information about this and I have read your post. I was very surprised that you mentioned that fish oil may be the cause because I was taking regularly in the morning and before going to bed supplements of fish oil. Immediately as I came across your post I stopped taking the dose of oil fish and I am very satisfied with the results I can share with you: I almost got rid of the problem, what I still have in the morning passes within few minutes and I know for sure that soon I won't have a problem no more at all. Now I am wondering if the problem was caused by the dose of oil fish itself or the manufacturer and I don't want to give a try to take another fish oil dose from another manufacturer just for experiment's sake. Now I'm very glad that I didn't visit a doctor and spend money on that. I would be really glad if my post is going to reach everyone who is having problems with stiff fingers in the morning and to recommend them NOT to spend money on doctors but to stop the oil fish dose. Many people are spending money trying to have their diagnose (as in the first post) but your post saved us all, Zarra Larra, thank you for this!

Hi! I also was suffering from stiffness in my finger joints just upon waking up and this only beginning recently so I have decided that I should do something about it. I started to take Omega oil fish supplements 2 or 3 caps each day and borage oil supplement soft gel also 2 or 3 caps each day for about 3 months. I don't know why it didn't come in my mind that one of these supplements could be responsible for the stiffness in the fingers. While I was searching what is this all about I have discovered a temporary remedy for those who still suffer from the stiff fingers in joints: you should soak your hands in hot water with a little bit of vinegar every morning when it occurs for 5 minutes each hand and then you should pour cold water over them and this will provide you a little help with this problem quickly and without taking any medication. I also found this info on the internet when I was searching about this problem and I need to tell you that vinegar is also very useful for many other home remedies. I found this because in the morning is the most important part of the day from my work and I need to work with my hands by carrying things, lifting heavy things etc. Anyway now I found your posts and I will stop taking the Omega oil fish supplements and I hope that I will get rid completely of this problem. I really need my joint mobility back and I hope that you are right about it.

Similar problem is affecting me too, I am suffering from stiff fingers in the morning too and I know very well what are you talking about. This problem of mine started not so long ago but it is a real pain in the !@#... Or better say in my fingers. After a only some time I finally realized that this is mostly happening after I eat something that has soy in it or soy itself. This makes me think that my problem is caused by soy and not something else as you wrote up there. I have also noticed that this problem is getting worse if I am working with my hands, my fingers are getting very stiff. Well, lately I was trying to stay away from soy but I have to tell you that it is not that easy. In fact, it’s very hard. You can find soy in sooo many things, in some things that you never thought it actually has soy. Sometimes, I am getting these stiffness in my fingers after I ate something that shouldn’t had soy but when I check it I find out that it has. So, I have to check everything now. when I didn’t knew that my problem is related to soy, I woke up in one morning being completely unable to close my fingers. Later I understood that the night before that I ate Chop Suey with soy sauce. I ate a lot of soy sauce. In that morning I was thinking that it was MSG. as I know, the MSG is causing a ring that is around your tendon (or it is maybe the tendon itself) and it swells up. This is keeping you away from moving your fingers. I am not sure but I have been told that the only way to get rid of that ring is to cut it in a doctor’s office. I am truly afraid now. I try all my best not to eat soy and to stay away from it as much as I can. MSG can be horrible. I don’t know if there’s a cure for this but for now, soy is definitely my enemy nr. one.
