Strange infection

Hello everyone. I have a strange disease and I don’t know how to deal with it. I just have had my first baby 5 weeks ago and after some days I noticed that my skin started to develop a strange infection. The first day I thought that maybe this is linked with the fact that I just have had my child after some days when the boils started to grow bigger and to appear on my chest on my breast and on my tummy. the first that I thought it was that maybe it’s a reaction to the med that I started to administrate called Keflex but now I started to doubt about it. Since the first day that I noticed it passed 4 weeks and I still have these strange boils on my tummy, chest and breast but in addition they started to appear even on my hands and legs. I don’t have a version now, and I don’t know what it could be but I’m afraid that this could lead to something else. I would like to ask if somebody just have had something like this and obviously I would like to know what this is linked to and how should I treat it. Is this because of my baby or because it’s a reaction to this med or what on this earth it could be? I’m not sure… I didn’t ask my doc because I thought that this could be linked with my pregnancy and if this is a natural reaction to the baby birth I think that there is no need to speak with the doctor. Please help me to clarify the situation, should I talk to him? Or what else should I do? Thank you a lot for everything.

Hey girl I’m a little bit scared for you. From your description I think that this could be staph infection and this could be very dangerous for you obviously for your baby because he depends on you. First of all I would like to clarify and to make you understand that this it’s not because your pregnancy or your birth, I think that this is something else. I got some information for you and I would like to share it. I recommend you to contact as soon as possible your doctor because some time ago I remember that I have heard about a boy that have died because of these infection so pay attention to it. Some information that I know about staph infection can help you to make you understand better what you deal with. A very important information for you that will make you understand why the drug that you used did not help you is that some types of this infection build a resistance to antibiotics and some drugs. 80% of different types of diseases are resistant to at least one antibiotic. So if you understand what I’m speaking about then you understand that 80% is a big number. I know that 95% of patients that suffer of this type of disease do not respond to the administration of the basic meds that were created especially to treat this issue such as penicillin or ampicillin. In your case we talk about keflex which is a popular drug too but the percentage of the resistance on patients is lower but still exists. This infection is classified as an mrsa which means that this infection is a part of Aureus infection. There are few antibiotics that completely treat it and since the beginning this infection makes us understand that this is a very low result. I think this is very important and you have to speak with your doctor immediately, hope you’ll be fine.
