In corticosteroid-induced osteoporosis, Actonel contributes to the maintenance of normal bone structure. The main Actonel indications include treatment and prevention of osteoporosis (postmenopausal osteoporosis, osteoporosis associated with chronic steroid therapy), Paget's disease. It can be used in men as a treatment of osteoporosis for the prevention of fracture.
