The maximum daily dose for outpatients is 450 mg. The maximum daily dose for inpatients is 600 mg.
Children and adolescents aged 6-18 years: the initial daily dose is 1.5-2 mg/kg body weight per day, divided into several doses. If necessary, the dose is gradually increased up to 6 mg/kg/day at intervals of 3-4 days.
Elderly patients should take 100 mg per day (before bedtime). The dose may be increased if necessary. The recommended dose is no more than 300 mg per day.
