Aczone (dapsone) dosing and administration
Aczone gel should be used twice a day - in the morning and evening. The dose of the drug should be selected individually based on the attending physician's consideration.
Before applying the gel, you should carefully wash your face with warm water (use only products with a neutral pH), and then remove excess moisture with a soft towel. Apply a small amount of gel (a pea-size amount of Aczone) on the affected skin, gently spread a thin layer with circular smoothing movements of your fingers, and then rub the gel within ½-1 min. Wait until your skin absorbs Aczone gel completely. After completion of the procedure, rinse your hands thoroughly.
The average duration of treatment is 12 weeks. If there are no significant changes after the therapy, you need to consult your dermatologist. Consult with your doctor before you decide to end Aczone therapy.
