The drug is used for the symptomatic treatment of diseases and conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, acute gouty arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis. The drug is also prescribed after dental procedures for the treatment of acute and moderate pain.

Arcoxia (etoricoxib) absolute contraindications

Arcoxia (etoricoxib) is contraindicated in people with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, severe impairment of renal function, hyperkalemia, renal disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, erosive and ulcerative lesions in the oral cavity, severe liver failure, liver disease in the active phase, uncontrolled hypertension; bleeding disorders (including hemophilia), symptomatic ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease and peripheral artery disease, severe heart failure, nasal polyps, bronchial asthma, hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs.
