Carbamazepine, clofibrate, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, narcotic analgesics, lamotrigine, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, tricyclic antidepressants, fludrocortisone, chlorpropamide may increase the antidiuretic effect of the drug. Loperamide may increase the absorption of desmopressin. Desmopressin increases the effects of hypertensive agents (dopamine, norepinephrine, phenylephrine, epinephrine). Cimetidine may cause bradycardia and asystole (life-threatening heart rhythm). Indomethacin may increase the intensity of action of desmopressin. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may increase the risk of side effects. Dimethicone may reduce the absorption of desmopressin.
