Emulgel (diclofenac) is used to treat the following conditions: - Bursitis, arthritis, periarthritis, tendonitis, and other forms of soft tissue rheumatic disorders. - It is also used for the symptomatic treatment of pain, swelling and inflammation caused by injuries of muscles and tendons (as a result of sprains, strains, bruises). - It is possible to use this drug for the treatment of patients suffering from spinal osteoarthritis.
What is the dosage for Emulgel (diclofenac)?
The drug is used in adults and children over the age of 12 years. The gel is applied with a thin layer to clean, dry skin 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment should be set by the doctor. However, it is not recommended to use the gel for more than 2 weeks for soft tissue lesions, or for more than 3 weeks for joints. Patients should wash their hands before and after the procedure. Avoid touching your eyes when you have gel on your hands.
If there are no improvements within a week from the beginning of treatment, you must inform your doctor. Patients older than 60 years may not change the doses of the drug.
What are the potential side effects of Emulgel (diclofenac)?

Pregnant women may use Emulgel with extreme caution in the first and second trimester of pregnancy (when the expected benefit is higher than the potential risk). The drug is not recommended during lactation.
