I am suffering from intermittent Atrial Fibrillation, it can appear and go away on and off like that for nearly 25 years now. about 6 years ago I have tried cardiac ablation (my doc recommended saying that it might help), however, it didn’t seemed to help me at all. now, I am using 120 mg 2 times per day of this thing (prescribed) and I am happy to report that it successfully keeps it under control and the most important part is that it’s doing this without any side effects! I’m happy about this because it doesn’t slow me down, but for me this is pretty important as I am working out regularly and pretty frequently so I am able to have my awesome fitness. A couple of month ago I have tried to lower the dosage to 60 mg and after I saw that I don’t have the same results I tried the 80 mg, however, the AF appeared each time so I decided not to change my dosage of 120 mg because it keeps me well and I don’t have side effects (but I still wanted to reduce my dosage only because “why should I take more when I don’t need it”, however, I need it). by the way, before I have tried sotalol, I was prescribed atenolol, but, because of the side effects I stopped to take it: it slowed me down greatly, I barely could do something and besides that, it also decreased my sex life quality… I’m happy with this medicine because it is slowing down my heart rate to about 50 beats resting, but in the same time it doesn’t slow me down generally. Oh yeah, I am taking this medicine for one year and 6 months and since then I didn’t had no episode of AF (I’m talking about the time I have stayed only on 120 mg 2 times per day). I am happy with this medicine and I can recommend it to everybody else. Hope that you would have the same results as I do, if it’s so then I’m sure you’ll be happy with it too.
