I started to use symbicort some months ago and now after I read some of your reviews I definitely decided to stop using it. When I started to use it for the first time I developed a rash on my face. Initially I thought that it’s not about the drug that I have had this but after some weeks I noticed that it started to become worse. I decided to read some reviews and now I definitely decided to search something else. Besides the rash after one month I started to have nausea and very painful headaches. I never had headaches in my life so that’s why I immediately understood that this is because of symbicort. I started to have difficulties when walking because my joints provoked me a very insupportable pain. My doctor said that these effects will pass after some weeks but in reality it got worse because in addition to nausea, headaches, joints pain and other things that I experienced I have developed a special kind of insomnia. This part of my life was very hard to control. I felt myself all the day very bad, during the night I couldn’t sleep because of this insomnia. In the morning it was hard to me to wake up and to do something because in the next day proximately at 6am when I had to go to work I wanted very bad to sleep. Because of this insomnia I started to be very nervous and stressed. I started to take two anti-depressants. During the entire day I was much stressed and during the night I couldn’t sleep and I started to cry all night. I started to become very irritant to other people. All the time when I did not cry I scream and annoy other people. Another thing is that can’t control my hungriness. I put on weight during some months very much and it’s very hard to me to lose it all. I recommend you not to buy this drug. If your doctor has the opportunity to prescribe you something else then buy and use something else.

My situation is pretty similar to one of the poster here with some slight differences. I have also been on advair, I have taken it for about 15 years or so and I haven’t used a rescue inhaler none even once for no less than 14 years or so. To be honest, for the last couple of years I was wondering if I even had asthma anymore. however, I didn’t wanted to check it out by stopping to take advair so it remained my wonder. Anyway, later I got my answer, unfortunately. My insurance company decided that advair is no longer cost effective for them so recently they said that I would be switched to this inhaler symbicort. I have been on this symbicort for about one month and here is I want to tell: advair is much more effective than symbicort. I am currently gasping very frequent for air and very frequent I am having a tight, a heavy feeling in my chest that it is also mixed with wheezing. I don’t have side effects from symbicort (neither did I with advair) but it is not so effective. Especially compared to my previous inhaler who even made me forget about asthma. Unfortunately, now, I know for sure that I am still suffering from asthma but I also know that symbicort is not enough effective in treating it. I am surely going to try to make my insurance company pay back for my advair! Really hope that I’ll get it back!

Suffering from asthma, maintenance for quite a while now and kept it under control with the help of my inhaler ventolin. However, 2 days ago my severe asthma seemed to completely get out of control and I’ve been to the dr so he could help me. If I had waited until now I would have been probably, already dead. Thanks to the dr I’m not. He gave me symbicort and a 10 days dosage of prednisone. Believe me or not but symbicort gave me amazingly great results. Usually, I was using my ventolin inhaler for no less than 12 times a day, which means about once every 1-2 hours. However, yesterday I used it only 1 time and I was feeling great! Seriously, this was a whole new experience for me. Also, usually I was waking up in the morning with short of breath and wheezing. This morning (only 2 days past) I woke up not wheezing at all and without any shortness of breath. I don’t remember the last time when I woke up in the morning without these symptoms. Seriously, all this is a whole new pleasant experience for which I’m so thankful. I am having only 2 puffs of symbicort in the morning and I’m doing great for the entire day long. I don’t know if it’s too early for the side effects but I haven’t had any of them. This thing is awesome! So far so good! I’m even developing thoughts about starting to run which wasn’t even thinkable before finding out about this medicine!

"’m suffering from asthma for as long as I can remember in all my 30 years of my whole life. I never heard about symbicort before because I got used to use the usual albuterol inhaler that I was using for no less than 4 times per day but quite frequently it happened even up to 8 or to 10 times per day. This scenario followed me for more than 7 years. I couldn’t take a step without thinking “where’s my inhaler?” I was having such a miserable life that I was going to be with my inhaler in my hand and sometimes I was even sleeping with it in my hand. All the night long. My life was truly horrible especially for a 25-30 years old man. I was young and should be strong but I was feeling useless. I’ve tried and had many failed maintenance medicines. Sometimes I thought that I will never find it. Besides my asthma I was getting depressed. Everything stopped when my doc called me and told me that he has something for me. As soon as the doc gave me symbicort I started to live a whole new and different life. I was feeling ten times better than I was feeling before. Compared to my emergency inhaler I had that I was always having it near me, now, I keep forgetting where it is this symbicort. I just can’t find words to describe how happy and thankful I am to the doc who gave me this medicine and to the person who invented this medicine. I’m finally living a normal life I was hope for all my life. I am feeling awesome and all this thanks to symbicort. thank you thank you thank you!

I’m suffering from asthma, maintenance and I was taking Advair for my condition which worked just perfect for some years and I had absolutely no side effects from it. Few weeks ago my health insurance changed and they said that they cannot cover Advair anymore so I was forced to switch to another drug. After few visits to my doctor and after long discussions he said that the best option (besides Advair) would be Symbiocort so he prescribed me this medicine. Sincerely, it is really a good drug but I won’t put it a 5 start because it has some side effects. Maybe I’ve got used to my Advair from which I never had any side effects and that’s why I won’t say that this is a perfect medicine. The side effects are: I have developed some unexplained nervousness, moreover I had a feeling of being lightheaded very often and the most disturbing thing was a ringing in my ears. This ringing is very disturbing. Initially, the drug appeared to be as good as Advair was because the side effects appeared after 2 weeks of using it. Now I’m taking it for a little more than a month and the side effects subdued expect the ringing in my ears. It still occurs from time to time (quite often) and this disturbs me. Expect this everything is just fine, my asthma is under control and my lungs function is great and that’s why I would say that overall it is a great drug, but not as perfect as Advair. Obviously I would prefer Advair rather than Symbiocort so that’s why I’m now trying to get my insurance company to pay for my old and good savior. We’ll see how it goes. Until now, it’s fine. If you also have problems with insurance then Symbiocort may be a very helpful drug!

I’ve been on advair for more than 2 years due to my severe asthma that was diagnosed about 2.5 years ago. Advair seemed to be a good medicine for me but I was living both these years with minor but unpleasant side effects. About 3 months ago I decided to search for a new and a better medication without side effects and I decided to try out this Symbicort drug. Went to doctor and he said that it can be a good idea. Prescribed me Symbicort along with a 10 day dose of Prednisone. I took it for less than one month and I switched to my old advair right away and even accepted the side effects. First few days of taking Symbicort and I was already feeling worse, thought it is something normal. After only a little over a week of treatment with this drug I was feeling much worse. I started to have short of breathe often, my throat was sore, horrible headaches, flu-like symptoms and bloating. Moreover, I had completely loss of taste and sinus issues. Besides all these horrible side effects my asthma wasn’t better controlled. After few series of migraines in less than one month I could not resist anymore and I switch back to my old advair. I’m now feeling the previous me but I’m very upset with this drug and I wanted to warn everybody about it.
