Trecator-SC description

Trecator-SC (ethionamide) is a synthetic antituberculous drug. The active substance blocks the growth and reproduction of Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria.

Ethionamide is rapidly absorbed from the digestive tract. The drug can pass through the placental barrier. Less than 1% is excreted unchanged in the urine.
