The usual daily dose is 120 mg of Xenical (orlistat) three times a day, during each meal or not later than 1 hour after meal. If you are not eating too much fat, you can skip the dose.

Xenical (orlistat) interaction

It is not recommended to use Xenical with digoxin, nifedipine, metformin, warfarin, oral contraceptives, phenytoin, statins. Interaction with alcohol should be avoided.

Xenical increases the bioavailability of pravastatin and decreases the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.

Xenical may lead to a decrease in absorption of vitamins D, E and A. These multivitamins should be taken at least 2 hours after taking Xenical tablet or at bedtime.

Xenical leads to a decrease in therapeutic effect of amiodarone.

Avoid simultaneous administration of Xenical and acarbose (due to the lack of pharmacokinetic studies).
