Whoever says that champix is bad it is because they don’t know how to properly use it! I’m sure about that because I was one of those people who was used to say that this thing doesn’t work (because of the horrible side effects) and that it doesn’t help me at all. the first time I have tried champix it was about 2 years ago or even more. I didn’t wanted to smoke and I have tried my best not to, but those side effects were unbearable, they were simply too hard for me and after a while my doctor said that I should stop using them. I continued to smoke. However, I have visited my GP back again and he said that I need to take champix again. obviously I didn’t wanted, but he said that we should change the dosage (I told him about my previous negative experience with it). the first time I was using 1 mg of champix 2 times per day but now, GP told me that I should only use 0.5 mg 2 times per day which means half of the previous dosage. I am back on it using 0.5 mg and now I have been smoke free for nearly 3 weeks so far. this time I still do get some side effects but they are very little and I would rather have these unnoticeable side effects and not to smoke than smoking further and later developing “worst” side effects. that is why I have to tell you everyone: champix is working but like any other medicine you should find your right balance. Trust me, before champix I have tried a lot of methods of quitting smoking, unsuccessfully, only this thing has helped me. I smoked for more than 25 years about one pack a day (or even more) about 20-25 cigarettes. if you want to quit smoking then you really have to give champix a try! Find your balance and you’ll be amazed of the results!
