I am suffering from RA (known as Rheumatoid Arthritis) for as long as I can remember. I got my diagnosis of RA for more than 32 years now so I have it for so long time that I cannot remember the time I wasn’t having it. In all these my life and in all these years of suffering from this monstrous issue I have been through all known medicines, at least all the medicines that were recommended and given to me. A lot of these medicines could work pretty well but for only a couple of weeks and then completely stop working or with other medicines they might not stop working but I have started to develop really bad side effects with them, too severe side effects so I could endure them. A little about me: for 5 years I was put on “gold” injections and Metotroxite, then I have been even more on (a little more than 6 years or so) on Predisone. With each of them happened something that was unworthy to take them further. then, many years ago I was taking Humira. I took Humira for a couple of months but then I discontinued to take it. that’s because this drug was helpful and I wasn’t having side effects from it but it helped me only for the first few days I took it and then, for the rest of the week, Humira’s effects were stopping so I was living in pains again. I could not live that way anymore. I was having way too much bad than good days. There was no point (and no wish) to continue with it. well, for a couple of years now, I have changed my medication to Enbrel alone. In the beginning I was taking 25 mg two times per week but later I switched to 50 mg but only one time a week. My only concern now (and a pretty big one) is that it can start be less and less effective until it wouldn’t be effective at all. However, in all these years, I haven’t noticed any effects to lessen so I hope that this would never change. So far, this medication is working wonders and I love it, especially if comparing to other medication that I have been on before Enbrel. Yeah, I still do have some joint soreness but only if I am over doing something so I must take a muscle relaxer during the night so the next morning I am completely fine. With Enbrel my condition is A LOT better, I can say that it is perfect! I have 100% effects from it (except the time I over do, but still) and no side effects! Enbrel is the best medicine for RA, at least for me!

I’m working as a nurse and I never had any problems with plaque psoriasis and I never thought that I would ever have. Unfortunately I am. These days I am finishing the second month of my twice per week injections with Enbrel. I can only say that it is working very well for me and side effects are not a problem. in such a short time Enbrel has cured the plaque psoriasis completely and I no longer have it (What a relief, oh GOD..!), I am able to wear short sleeves if I want to and I don’t have to be embarrassed anymore. the last summer was a oh my god pain…. I had to wear long sleeves everywhere and anywhere in order to hide the psoriasis and not to feel that embarrassed (but there were some times when I was feeling embarrassed because I was wearing long sleeves during summer). Either way, I couldn’t live my life normally. Especially as a nurse, that’s because I’m always around people, around anxious people, and I do understand them. my patients were asking me if this wasn’t contagious… as I am a nurse, I was giving these injections myself but I have to tell you: this is something very different from giving the injections to my patients. Since I’m using Enbrel I didn’t noticed any side effects and this is what makes me continue taking it. I also hope that this thing would never change. For me Enbrel is working wonders and for as long as this is going to be like this I’m going to take it.

I was unable to walk for about 2 years because of the pains I had from my very and very severe arthritis (RA). I was given Enbrel a little less than 2 months ago and this week is the first week in these 2 years that I can actually walk for a relatively short distance without horrible pains. I suffered from constant pains and this week is one of my happiest week in my life. Enbrel is responsible for this and I’m very thankful. I’ve been taking several different drug but none of them worked, especially as good as Enbrel. I still have some discomfort but I guess that it will pass. In my opinion I have it because I’m having lack of strength which comes from 2 years of inactivity. Obviously I need some strength to gain up, moreover, my bones and muscles to get used again that I’m WALKING finally and in general to build up my body. I haven’t noticed any side effects so far and I hope that I never will. I also hope that it will work as good as it worked until now and that I will have back my life again. I’m very thankful to Enbrel and to doctors who told me about it and I’m very pleased with its effects. I recommend it to everyone that have pains from arthritis. Trust me you need this drug! I’m now bursting finally having the joy of no pain! I already forgot how is to feel like this...

Psoriasis was a nightmare for me for more than 20 years! I tried many drugs but none of them worked until I was prescribed Humira which seems to be the only one who fully works! Enbrel was one of those drugs I tried and I can say that it is the second best drug after Humira. Enbrel was for a little of a help but it could not do the job how it was supposed to do! In fact, I don’t really know why it the doctor prescribed Enbrel for my condition because later I’ve searched the internet and I could not find anything said that Enbrel should help with my condition! I’m not trying to say that Enbrel is a bad drug, I only guess that it was prescribed for the wrong condition. By the way, while I was on it I didn’t had any side effects… I cannot recommend it and I cannot say that it is a bad drug! Maybe for the right condition it will be for some help without side effects!

Suffering from Ankylosing Spondylitis disease is the worst thing I ever experienced in my life. Enbrel was the first and the only drug prescribed by the doctor for my disease. I first took it few years ago and I’m sure that without it, I would be either fully depressed or even in a wheel chair. I was feeling horrible, almost every single inch of me was in pain and I could not live that way. I could not walk and I could not resist that terrible pain. Whoever suffers from Ankylosing Spondylitis I can recommend this drug all 100%. For the first time when I heard that I should have the injection every month I was concerned but it turns out that it’s all fine. Indeed, I can feel some discomfort at each injection but it is minimal and definitely worth it. It took me around 3 months until I finally could feel myself a little bit better, after half a year I was already feeling much more better with no terrible pains anymore but after a whole year of taking this medication I was feeling myself 99% healed up! I have no more pains and for about a year I’m living my normal life thanks to Enbrel.

I’m now on 25 mg of Enbrel twice per week and I am taking it for a year and few months. I would honestly change my medication but there’s nothing else what would help me, at least nothing I found so far. My pains started in about 4 years ago; 2009-2010, but I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis only 2 years later in May 2012. At first I was told to take methotrexate but it had no effects on me. With other medication, the same story. Enbrel is the only one that helped me a little bit so I’m able to work for a little period of time but I still need to rest. I still have pains in my left hip and in my knees. I didn’t had any side effects while I was the Enbrel but there’s also minimal positive effects. My doctor recommended me to stop taking this drug as I can develop some side effects but without it it’s going to be even worse so I’m still on it. I guess it’s effects are lowering or I’m not really sure. I am going to take this medicine as long as possible because without it my situation would be even worse. In general, I can recommend Enbrel because before it was almost completely inactive and didn’t worked very often. Now I’m still missing from work but I’m better. I’ve heard that it has limited improvement so I guess that sooner or later I have to get rid of it…
