The drug in the form of tablets is indicated for the treatment of infectious diseases of the skin, mucous membranes and scalp. Nizoral tablets are used when there is no clinical effect associated with topical therapy. It is used for the following diseases/conditions: dermatophyte infections, versicolor tinea, folliculitis caused by Malassezia, candidiasis of the skin, mouth and throat, chronic form of candidiasis of the mucous membranes. In addition, Nizoral is indicated for the treatment of systemic fungal infections: coccidioidomycosis, paracoccidioidomycosis, blastomycosis and histoplasmosis. It is also used in the treatment of fungal infections of the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract, recurrent vaginal candidiasis, fungal infections in immunocompromised patients.

Nizoral contraindications

Nizoral is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, glucose-galactose malabsorption, lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency.
